National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC) was established in year 2003 and it is the upgraded name of Drug Dependence Treatment Center, AIIMS. This National Drug dependence Centre is located in Ghaziabad with its full operational activities for De-addiction since year 2003.
This Centre has a team of well qualified doctors and researchers to treat various kinds of addictions. National Drug Dependence Center provides the clinical care through outpatients/inpatient settings and community clinics.
The center provides the treatment for all addictive disorders which are related to all those harmful substances like alcohol, drugs, smacks, heroine, tobacco etc.
At National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre treatment is done with both pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods. In pharmacological mode the treatment is done through proper course of medication while in non-pharmacological treatment is done through psychological / social mode.
In both pharmacological and non-pharmacological mode treatment is done through proper drug use and supervised medications.
Centre has been involved in various activities like assessing magnitude of drug abuse in the country, giving clinical care to drug addicts, Health education, formation of laboratory to detect drugs of abuse in body fluids and health damage, etc.
